Another megastar could retire from WWE after John Cena's farewell this Saturday. The Champ is set to bid goodbye to his in-ring career at Saturday Night's Main Event, but another name could follow him soon.
During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Cena suggested that Brock Lesnar could retire in 2026 at SummerSlam, which will be held in Minnesota, a place close to The Beast's heart.
This led to fans speculating about Lesnar's future in the company and now Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) has shared an update.
In the latest edition of the newsletter, he noted that while the rumors are rife about The Beast Incarnate calling it a day next year, he cannot confirm an exact date. He, however, added that Lesnar’s name has been discussed internally when it comes to retirement runs of several stars such as AJ Styles and possibly Chris Jericho if he returns.

The report clarified that only Styles' retirement plans are locked in, but Lesnar's name has been brought up. If the speculation around the former WWE Champion's future turns out to be true, the Stamford-based promotion could lose another big star after John Cena and AJ Styles in the next year.
Brock Lesnar featured in WWE tribute video for John Cena
John Cena is set to wrestle his final WWE match at the weekend against The Ring General Gunther.
Ahead of his imminent retirement, the promotion uploaded a video of various stars paying tribute to the 17-time World Champion. The clip highlighted Cena's rivals over the years copying his signature gestures as he bids farewell.
Toward the end of the video, Brock Lesnar also makes an appearance and holds up a card that reads, "I can see you." It now remains to be seen whether The Conqueror will follow in the footsteps of the GOAT.
