WWE's current roster is stacked, and the company is headed towards its last two premium live events on the main roster. Recently, Ric Flair gave his take on Randy Orton and stated that the management has underutilized the legendary wrestler on more occasions than one.
Randy Orton is a first-ballot Hall of Famer and made his grand return to the Stamford-based promotion following a career-threatening injury in 2023. After his return to the company as a performer, The Viper often gets written off in storylines and returns to the product as per convenience.
In an appearance on the Doul3 Coverage Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair stated that Randy Orton is a third-generation WWE star in the company, and the management has failed to utilize him at his fullest, as Flair believes he's the best worker in the promotion right now.
"Randy Orton, I mean, he's third generation. Randy is the best male worker in the company right now. They don't utilize him the way I would if I was the booker, but I'm not. So, he can still work his a** off. But he's making a lot of money, and he's doing good. He's happy, and that's all that matters," Flair said.

Why is Randy Orton not on WWE SmackDown?
Earlier this year, Randy Orton lost to Cody Rhodes in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament and entered into a rivalry with Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. The storyline led to a tag team match where The Viper teamed up with Jelly Roll at WWE SummerSlam 2025 and lost.
After the event, McIntyre and Orton had an on-and-off feud on the blue brand as The Scottish Warrior was in the title picture against Cody Rhodes. In October 2025, the 14-time world champion got pinned in a tag team match against The Vision and has been on hiatus since his last match.
The veteran has been on a vacation with his family, and it'll be interesting to see when The Viper returns to the Stamford-based promotion. There's a high chance that the Men's Grand Slam Champion could return following Survivor Series in San Diego.
