WWE doesn't entertain a talent when they are accused of misconduct or any egregious behavior, and one star was suspended and later fired due to major allegations against him.
In 2017, Enzo Amore ruled the cruiserweight division as the Cruiserweight Champion of 205 Live. In 2018, he was accused of sexual assault and was under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department. The management suspended the champion and later fired him while he was the division's top name.
The allegations affected the two-time Cruiserweight Champion's career severely, and he never returned to the Stamford-based promotion for another run. In an appearance on The John Rondi Show, the 38-year-old ex-WWE star recalled why he was first suspended and then fired from the company.
The incident happened during one of his rehearsals for the show when the tweet accusing him went viral. The two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion met Mr. McMahon in his office and was suspended and sent home. The next day, he was fired due to the ongoing investigation, but he conjectured that McMahon probably didn't want him gone.

"I didn't even know that this [allegation tweet went viral] was happening. This was going viral. And I'm going through rehearsals, and people start looking at me... Next thing I know, I'm in Vince McMahon's office, and he tells me, 'Why didn't you tell me?' and I'm like, 'Brother, I didn't f**king know that this s**t was going crazy right now.' So, he tells me you've got to go home, and I took the Cruiserweight Title with me in a Gucci bag," Amore said.
He added:
"Ultimately, it led to the next day getting a phone call from, at the time, Mark Carrano, who was the head of HR. He told me that some cooler heads did not prevail, meaning Vince McMahon. From my understanding, it wasn't Vince that wanted me gone at that moment I was ixnayed, and I can't even tell you the relief, man," Amore said.

Enzo Amore was fired from WWE as champion
Following the investigation, the Phoenix PD closed the case in May 2018 due to insufficient evidence.
Unfortunately, Amore never returned to the company as a full-time performer. However, he was fired from the promotion when he was the Cruiserweight Champion, and the 38-year-old ex-WWE star has previously stated that he was proud of his work in the Stamford-based promotion.
