While Sol Ruca found success as a singles competitor, the tag team of ZaRuca has not been as successful when it comes to winning the Women's Tag Team Titles. Cracks in this partnership started to form after Sol Ruca got injured. Zaria volunteered to defend the NXT Women's North American Championship against Blake Monroe, but she lost the title. Therefore, Sol Ruca decided to relinquish the Women's Speed Championship instead of having her tag team partner defend it. When Sol Ruca got her rematch for the Women's North American Championship at Gold Rush, Zaria threw in the towel to prevent Sol from getting hurt again. This upset Sol, and she wasn't in Zaria's corner the following week when the latter competed for the Women's Speed Title.Last week on WWE NXT, things between them reached a boiling point when Zaria tried to spear Sol Ruca following her match. Fortunately, Lola Vice pulled her out of harm's way, and Zaria speared Kendal Grey instead. Tonight on NXT Deadline, Sol Ruca was backstage with Zaria on a video call.
