Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer expressed concern about the reigning Women's World Champion because she was limping after the segment. "Stephanie and Roxanne… overall, it was pretty good, but they had a lot of problems—and it was mostly Stephanie was having a… she had a rough night. They do the match, and Roxanne ends up getting hit with the Angel’s Wings and Lung Blower for the pin. And then they do the thing where Raquel and Roxanne jump them and double team them. Nikki Bella's music hits and Stephanie went for a springboard and she slipped on the ropes. And man, she grabbed her knee and she was walking, but she was limping," Alvarez said.
