Dolph Ziggler ended a 20-year wait on RAW this week. The former World Heavyweight Champion made a shocking return to WWE this Monday as a mystery opponent for Solo Sikoa in the Last Time is Now Tournament.
The return wasn't fruitful, as he ended up losing, but it was still a moment to remember for the fans. Ziggler's surprise appearance was kept under wraps by WWE, and The Showoff revealed how he managed to pull it off.
During an appearance on the Busted Open Podcast, he talked about being in hiding before showing up for his match. He mentioned that over the years he had seen many stars do it, but he never got to experience it until this Monday.
"I had a hideout all day, which was fun. In 20 years I got to watch so many people hide or hide under the ring or sit on a bus somewhere. I never got to do the hiding," he said.

Dolph Ziggler, who was released by WWE in 2023, then mentioned how he kept his appearance a secret for as long as possible.
"So I had all black on, and I put, like, a ski mask over my face and sunglasses, and they pulled me into the loading dock inside of the building, and then I got walked in, and I got to hide out for, like, five or six hours," he said.

Dolph Ziggler sent a message after his return on RAW
Following his surprise return to WWE at Madison Square Garden, Ziggler got to do the popular Triple H picture backstage, posing alongside the promotion's Chief Content Officer.
The Game shared the photo on X/Twitter and drew a response from the former U.S. champion.
"What a night! What a partnership! L F G," he wrote while reposting the photo.
At the moment this could only be a one-off appearance by Dolph Ziggler, as he is currently signed to TNA, where he competes as Nic Nemeth.
The surprise returns of him and Zack Ryder last week to WWE have been made possible due to the ongoing partnership between the sports entertainment giant and TNA.
