John Cena's match with Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza was heavily criticized, and the feud was ended abruptly following the event. Meanwhile, Vince Russo believes there's still a possibility that the company could pull a major swerve between the two legends.
The Franchise Player was defeated with ease at Wrestlepalooza in Indiana when The Beast Incarnate hit him with 6 F5s. Many expected the feud to continue and John Cena to get a win over his longtime rival before he wraps up his in-ring career in December.
Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios' The Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo stated that there's a possibility Lesnar could be Cena's final opponent. He pitched a scenario where Brock Lesnar would attack the winner of 'The Last Time is Now' tournament and take the winner's place at Saturday Night's Main Event.
"They're not thinking about him, coach. That's the problem. If [John] Cena is your property, you're doing that... I'm still holding out that whoever wins the tournament. Brock Lesnar's going to take them out, and Brock Lesnar's going to have the match with Cena. I'm still holding out for that, coach," Russo said.

John Cena and Brock Lesnar will compete at WWE Survivor Series 2025
After Wrestlepalooza 2025, John Cena continued his retirement tour and faced AJ Styles for a final time in the promotion at WWE Crown Jewel in Australia. The two legends paid homage to their former rivals, and The Leader of The Cenation won the match.
Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar went on a hiatus from the weekly product. Earlier this month, John Cena finally became the Men's Grand Slam Champion and won the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio. However, he recently granted the former champion a title rematch at Survivor Series in San Diego.
Elsewhere, The Beast Incarnate returned to the product for the first time since Wrestlepalooza and joined forces with The Vision heading into Survivor Series: WarGames. Later, it was confirmed that the 10-time WWE Champion will compete in the gimmick match in California.
