WWE has officially added two current championships to its roster. The Evolve Men's and Women's Championships have been added to the company's roster page.
The Evolve Championship is one of the two men's primary championships on WWE's developmental system, alongside the NXT Championship. The title was established on May 7th, 2025, and the current champion is Jackson Drake. Drake defeated Keanu Carver, Edris Enofe, and Sean Legacy to become the inaugural champion. He will defend the title against Legacy at NXT Gold Rush.
Similarly, the Evolve Women's Championship is one of the two primary developmental championships in the company, alongside the NXT Women's Championship. The Evolve Women's Championship was also unveiled on the same date as the Evolve Men's Championship and is held by Kendal Grey, who defeated Kali Armstrong to become the inaugural champion.
The Evolve Women's Championship has been featured on WWE programming, courtesy of Grey, who has been appearing on NXT. She successfully defended the title against Lash Legend in the latter's final NXT match.

WWE Evolve Women's Champion Kendal Grey spoke about Kurt Angle comparisons
Kendal Grey spoke about comparisons with Kurt Angle and stated that she appreciates being compared to a Hall of Famer. However, the Evolve Women's Champion believes that they are both different.
Speaking on the Muscle Memory podcast, Grey said the following:
"I definitely don't have a gold medal at the Olympics, I'll tell you that. So, and you know, I'm a female, so I don't know. I think for me, I think being compared to him is like, obviously, he's one of the greats, so it is a cool comparison, but I try to just be different. I try to, I think for women's wrestling in the women's division, not many people come from an amateur wrestling background. I would like to bring that into the women's division. And obviously, women and men, even in amateur wrestling, like they wrestle so different. So I'm just trying to be different. I hope that I can bring my own personality into it, and just I don't know, just have fun with it. I don't want to be compared to someone or feel like I have to live up to someone's experience. I just want to have my own experience and have fun,"
Grey has found herself a new challenger in the form of Lainey Reid. Backstage on this week's NXT, the two engaged in a heated brawl. Reid will challenge for Grey's title at NXT Gold Rush.
