WWE star wants Rusev in a romantic angle with Nia Jax and Lash Legend

WWE is known to do a romantic angle between two or more stars on the weekly product, and Rusev is no stranger to such storylines. Recently, CJ Perry, aka Lana, pitched an idea for The Bulgarian Brute to be involved in a romantic angle with Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

Earlier this month, Lash Legend was moved to the main roster under Triple H's creative regime on Friday Night SmackDown. Legend targeted Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss on the blue brand and formed a tag team with Nia Jax heading into WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

In an appearance on TMZ's Inside The Ring, CJ Perry, who recently signed a legends deal with the company, pitched an idea for a romantic angle, as she's a huge soap opera fan. The WWE legend stated that if it were up to her, she would've had Rusev in a romantic angle with Nia Jax and Lash Legend, a love triangle, on the weekly product.

"I love romantic storylines. Like if I was the person writing the shows, there would be more soap opera stories. And Rusev for sure would be in a romantic angle by now... I think it would be great for him to be in a romantic storyline with Nia Jax or Lash Legend. Maybe he could have a tag team, and he could be in a romantic storyline with both of them," Lana said.

John Cena crossed paths with Rusev in his early days when The Bulgarian Brute ruled the men's division as the United States Champion. In the end, The Franchise Player dethroned the champion and won the title at WrestleMania 31. The two have often crossed paths in the promotion before Cena became a part-time performer in the industry.

In an appearance on TMZ's Inside The Ring, Lana, Rusev's real-life wife, stated she doesn't think The Never-Seen Seventeen will retire from in-ring competition. Moreover, the veteran stated that she would be really sad to see him go, as she never expected the biggest worker in the promotion to hang up the wrestling boots.
