WWE and the pro wrestling world see several families involved in the business. Now, a former name of the Stamford-based promotion, Hornswoggle, revealed that his son also wants to step into the ring. Additionally, he mentioned that his son is already in touch with prominent wrestlers and is actively training to begin his career.
Speaking on TMZ's Inside The Ring, Hornswoggle highlighted that his son, Landon Postl, loves pro wrestling and is very passionate about it. While the last WWE Cruiserweight Champion admires Landon’s drive, he also noted that he wants him to have backup career options.
“It's all he wants to do. He goes to our school, so I run a training school with my company as well. And all he wants to do is professionally wrestle. I cannot train him until he's 17 cuz he's already going to deal with nepotism stuff and all of that. And I won't break the rules for him. But he goes to our Sunday like our secret Sunday Classes, and he's already doing stuff that advanced students are doing. But he's been around all his life. It's all he knows and all he likes and all he loves. He finally showed interest in law enforcement a few months ago, and I was like ‘Yes, please do that.’”
Hornswoggle also mentioned that Landon is very hungry for all the knowledge about the industry. He revealed that the young talent is always in touch with the NXT North American Champion and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion, Ethan Page, and Brian Myers.

“But he has such a love for this business and such a love for everything wrestling. He texts Ethan Page and Brian Myers and all of these guys, without me even being in the chats, just about wrestling and just about life, and just like all that. It's just it's his knowledge and his want for more knowledge is crazy, and that's another thing, obviously a connection and a bond that we have that's very, very strong, and I'm so thankful for that.”
The WWE legend noted that while he admires his passion, he is serious about him having a backup plan. The 39-year-old said that he even asks his students to have alternative career options because, unlike sports like baseball or basketball, wrestling doesn’t pay enough unless you’re at the right place at the right time.
Hornswoggle believes Logan Paul is a legitimate WWE Superstar
In the same episode, Hornswoggle also praised Logan Paul. The 39-year-old said that The Maverick is no longer just a celebrity feature in the company and has proven himself as a legitimate WWE Superstar.
He also highlighted that he would’ve been subjected to endless hate comments for his remark two years ago, but Paul’s achievements in wrestling are undeniable now.
Logan Paul is currently aligned with The Vision. He helped his team, consisting of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, and Drew McIntyre, win the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the former WWE United States Champion.
