LA Knight found himself frustrated yet again on SmackDown when he learned that he would be facing another mystery opponent (after Zack Ryder) after Sheamus was out due to an injury. A WWE legend officially replaced Sheamus, effectively re-entering the tournament.

The November 28 episode of SmackDown was pre-taped, but the crowd was hyped nonetheless. As we mentioned, LA Knight went off when Cathy Kelley told him that his opponent for the Quarter Finals of the Last Time is Now tournament would be a mystery yet again. In response, LA Knight said no one can stop his rise to the top.

In a backstage segment, soon after Jey Uso advanced to the semifinals by defeating Rusev, WWE legend The Miz was pleading with Nick Aldis to let him re-enter the tournament. His claim to it was that he was too important to the career of John Cena to simply be ignored. Aldis was firm with his boundaries, insisting that he was going the route of random picks from the balls. In a "shocking moment" that only happened because of The Miz's trickery, the random name that Aldis chose was none other than The Miz, who effectively re-entered the tournament despite being eliminated.

In between this, R-Truth came in again and offered to give his "balls," but Aldis told him that he didn't want them, as Truth's "balls" were still in the random selection wheel. Aldis insisted that he didn't hate Truth's "balls" and that it had nothing to do with nationality.

Either way, it was a huge moment, and this means that Cena's final opponent was getting closer to being decided. There is no denying that The Miz is one of the more important names with whom Cena crossed paths in his career, as the two headlined WrestleMania against each other 14 years ago in Atlanta.
