The go-home edition of SmackDown before Survivor Series featured Sami Zayn getting pinned by Solo Sikoa in their traditional five-on-five elimination Survivor Series match.
The Underdog from the Underground put in a spirited effort, but could not overcome the leader of the MFTs, who emerged as the sole survivor after pinning Zayn to win the match for his side. On Busted Open After Dark, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry revealed the possible reason behind Solo getting the win over the former Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown, pointing out that the Street Champion is considered the future of the business:
"It came down to where Sami Zayn was the last one in and it was Sami versus three. Just the fact that he was able to get it down to just him and Solo is a testament to how great of a talent Sami is. But at the end of the day, Solo is the featured guy and is going to be going forward and was able to end up finishing off Zayn...He (Sami) ran out of ammunition... he didn't have enough left."

Sami Zayn claims he is okay with never winning a world title
Over his decade-long WWE career, Sami Zayn has won the tag team titles, Intercontinental Championship, and United States Championship multiple times. However, he has yet to win a world title in the promotion. In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, he claimed he was content with never winning a world title:
"I've just accomplished so much more than I ever thought I would on so many different levels, and I've got so many great experiences. For me, this is all gravy at this point. There's still...getting on that 100th floor would be nice. For sure, winning the world title it's the elusive one. I wouldn't mind winning that one. If I don't ever win it, that's okay, because I'm in pretty good company as, in my opinion, one of the better guys to have done this without winning the world title."
It remains to be seen where Zayn goes following his loss in the Survivor Series match to Solo Sikoa.
