WWE accused of corruption following AJ Lee's RAW return

A major WWE Superstar has accused the company of corruption after AJ Lee's return this past Monday night on RAW. Last night's show was John Cena's final appearance on RAW and aired live from Madison Square Garden in New York.

AJ Lee returned for the first time since Wrestlepalooza 2025 last night on RAW to interfere in Becky Lynch's match against Maxxine Dupri. Lee provided a distraction, and Dupri capitalized to defeat The Man to become the new Women's Intercontinental Champion.

Lynch shared a video on Instagram today and accused the company of corruption. She also claimed that she was still the Women's Intercontinental Champion because AJ Lee did not have a "managing license" to help Dupri.

"This is clearly a case of corruption, of injustice. There was a crooked ref, and AJ (Lee) has no managing license. What are you doing? How are you able to get past all of the stop guards? We have the best security, and she is able to just waltz out there, cost me the title, and we are calling Maxxine Dupri the Intercontinental Champion? She is not the Intercontinental Champion because I never lost!" said Lynch.

Dupri had never captured a title in WWE before her victory over Lynch on last night's episode of RAW.

WWE star CM Punk comments on his relationship with AJ Lee

CM Punk and AJ Lee are married in real life, and The Second City Saint recently detailed a rough patch in their relationship.

Speaking on Cold As Balls with popular comedian Kevin Hart, Punk noted that Lee was still with WWE after he left in 2014. He shared that the following year was a difficult time in their relationship, but it ultimately helped them in the long run.

"It was difficult because when I left, she was still with the company for a year. That was a hard year for us, relationship-wise. But it made everything after that so much easier. (…) I found my person. She's 100% my partner," Punk said.
