This week on Writing with Russo, the veteran writer questioned why stars never fought back against extremely long non-compete clauses. He felt some stars should have sought legal help to bust the non-compete issued by the company. Russo claimed there was no way a two-year non-compete would stand in front of a jury.

"I just, I don't know how they don't do anything about it because my God, how do you not go to a lawyer and say, 'Listen man, I'm in this profession, this is what I can do. They're not paying me. I can't not work for two years.' There's no way that's gonna be withheld. There's no way, man, that's gonna stand," Russo said.
