Speaking on the Doubl3 Coverage Podcast, a visibly heartbroken Ric Flair claimed that "street drugs" killed Hogan. The 16-time WWE World Champion noted that he spoke with the late star a day before his death.

The 76-year-old added that Hulk Hogan got infected after his last neck surgery. Flair stated that Hogan was in so much pain and the doctors would not prescribe him any pain-relief medicines.

"I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs. When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe any more. He was in so much pain. Then he had neck surgery and got infected. So back in the hospital, imagine 10 back surgeries, two knees, two hips, all this," Flair said.

Ric Flair further claimed that Hogan was then given drugs bought off the street. Unfortunately, The Hulkster's body could not take it anymore.

"And then when the doctor would not prescribe any more pain medicine, they just couldn’t do it. All due conscience, right? So they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, ‘You know what? Bingo. I can’t do it anymore,'" Flair added.
