The Miz managed to weasel his way back into the "Last Time is Now" tournament on SmackDown despite being eliminated in the first round. A video has emerged revealing how The A-Lister tricked General Manager Nick Aldis.For context, Sheamus had to be replaced in the Last Time is Now tournament after suffering an injury. While it was a shame, it opened the door for another superstar, and The Miz went to Nick Aldis to beg him to re-enter the tournament. His logic was that he was too important to John Cena's career to be overlooked like that, and thus, he deserved a second chance. Nick Aldis was firm, insisting that he was going to go the route of a random selection instead.As R-Truth came in to talk to Nick Aldis about his "balls," The Miz noticed an opportunity. The ball Aldis selected was already open, but the chit with the name on it wasn't. While Aldis was distracted by R-Truth, The A-Lister swapped the chit inside the ball with one bearing his own name. Watch the trickery in the video below:That is how he managed to re-enter the tournament, but even the two-time Grand Slam Champion couldn't outrun his karma. During the actual match against LA Knight, he suffered a defeat, crashing out of the tournament yet again.This means that the numbers are now down to four. Four superstars will compete to be John Cena's final opponent. LA Knight will face Jey Uso on RAW in the semifinals, while Gunther will face Solo Sikoa in the other semifinal match. Although Gunther is the favorite, it's a lot more uncertain with LA Knight and Jey Uso. It'll be interesting to see how things play out in the tournament.
