Rhea Ripley headlined SmackDown in a reunion that happened after over a year. However, towards the end of the match, she was unfortunately involved in a horrifying botch that saw a top star getting nearly injured and bent in half. This week, the main event of SmackDown saw a mixed tag team match as The Terror Twins reunited. Zelina Vega and Aleister Black have been a thorn in Damian Priest's side for quite some time, so before Survivor Series: WarGames, Ripley told him she wanted to finish up with her WarGames commitments first before running an idea by him. That idea was to help her brother-from-another-mother against Aleister Black and Zelina Vega, with her role being to neutralize Vega.In the main event of SmackDown, things unfortunately didn't go very well. Towards the end, in particular, there was a reversal spot where Zelina Vega was supposed to reverse a move from Rhea Ripley, and the botch saw her nearly suffer a scary injury as she was bent in half. Thankfully, she didn't land on her neck, and she was able to continue and finish the match.Damian Priest and Ripley were ultimately successful in neutralizing the couple as they hit the Razor's Edge on both of them before Ripley hit the Riptide for the win. It was quite the finish, which was overshadowed by the aforementioned botch. It isn't about pointing fingers, but the nature of the spot, when viewed, is one that can lead to a botch if not done right. So hopefully, nobody dogpiles on Zelina Vega for making a mistake. The most important thing is that she is okay and that no injuries occurred.Rhea Ripley's role in this rivalry seems to be over for now, and her next focus is likely going to be the Women's Tag Team Championships with IYO SKY.
