Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about the company's working relationship with Saudi Arabia. WWE has had an ongoing ten-year strategic partnership with the country since 2018.
Company President Nick Khan, during a recent interview, mentioned that WWE has become a truly global product. He noted that several premium live events take place outside the United States and are tailored for a global audience. Khan also noted that the company is currently in its eighth year of partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He felt fans across the globe would travel to the country for WrestleMania in 2027.
During a recent episode of Writing with Russo, the former writer questioned Nick Khan's comments. He made it clear he would never travel halfway across the world to see The Show of Shows. Vince Russo also wondered if any U.S. citizens would travel to Saudi Arabia. The veteran writer was confident that U.S. fans would never travel to Saudi Arabia to watch WrestleMania.
"Let me ask you. You think people are going to travel to Saudi? You really think people in the US are going to go to Saudi? Come on, bro," Russo said.

Earlier this year, the company announced that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This will be the first time the grand event is held outside North America.
In partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and Turki Alalshikh, the event will be a milestone moment in WWE's global expansion project. Chief Content Officer Triple H praised the country's impact, promising a huge spectacle as part of Riyadh's growing sports legacy.
