The Ravishing Russian Lana was part of several incredible segments on TV during her first stint in WWE that ended in 2021. She initially accompanied her real-life husband, Rusev, to the ring. She later also worked with other stars such as Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley as their manager.
One of the segments that still dominates fan discourse is her storyline with Dolph Ziggler back in the day. During a recent conversation with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, she opened up about the happenings around that period, including a story involving Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis.
She also shared her reaction to the romantic segments with Dolph. The duo practiced their kisses, with Rusev in the same room. She also discussed a humorous incident during the storyline where Vince McMahon helped the stars out by showing what needed to be done with Johnny Ace (John Laurinaitis).
"Yeah, it was a little awkward when I had to practice that kiss with Dolph and my, at the time, boyfriend was in the room. The whole thing was so funny, because Johnny Ace and Vince show what we need to do, and they get up real close, real super close," noted Lana.

She explained that everyone involved was professional, and with her background as a performer, she was able to delineate the personal and professional aspects of her work. She also gave props to Rusev for his confidence in her and her performance.
"Yeah, showing how it needs to be done. We’re giggling, and Vince is like, ‘No, we’re all professionals here. We’re all grown adults.’ So that already helped me go, okay, these grown men are very, you know, it is very professional. I come from a performance background, and I can easily pretend to be a friend, assassin, lover, mistress, and then leave work and turn it off, go back home, do chores, and do life and be together with Miro. We both understand that. He takes acting class. He’s been in movies. He’s been a husband in different things as well. So I think we always had that understanding. He’s very confident, though, he’s a man who feels totally secure and confident in me playing something that is believable, and I give him his props and flowers, because maybe for me it would be a little bit harder vice versa, but he understood that was what was bringing good money into the household," Lana added. Since her WWE exit, Lana briefly worked in AEW before returning to the Stamford-based promotion, this time under a Legends contract.
Lana Talked About Her Experience Working With Tony Khan
Lana, during a conversation on TMZ's Inside the Ring, mentioned an amusing situation that arose due to her comments to the media.
She disclosed that she often had to answer to a pi**ed Tony Khan after her comments went viral.
"I needed to plead the Fifth because I was doing too many interviews to make him go viral. And then Tony Khan would call him and be pissed (…) We do a 6 a.m. radio interview in Wisconsin. This is like nothing on media, this is just a little phoner, you know, 5:45 for like North Dakota. I love North Dakota. And next thing you know, it’s going trending on Twitter for four days."
With Rusev back and featuring prominently on the red brand, fans now await The Ravishing Russian's return to WWE TV.
