VIDEO: Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes suddenly make huge non-WWE appearance

WWE Superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had a bit of a fallout at the 2025 Survivor Series. Their team lost the Men’s WarGames match owing to interference by a mystery figure. While the two didn’t appear to be on good terms, they recently made a non-WWE appearance at the 2025 Game Awards.

The OTC and The American Nightmare are notably part of Street Fighter, an upcoming live-action movie based on the video game franchise. Roman Reigns will be playing the role of Akuma in the film, while Cody Rhodes will be playing the role of Guile. The duo appeared at the 2025 Game Awards with the star cast of the movie.

The WWE wrestlers shared the stage together alongside Noah Centineo (Ken), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chun Li), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Andrew Schulz (Dan Hikibi), Vidyut Jammwal (Dhalsim), Mel Jarnson (Cammy), Orville Peck (Vega), Olivier Richters (Zangief), Rayna Vallandingham (Juli), and Jason Momoa (Blanka).

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had teased a third match

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns had a fierce rivalry that saw two WrestleMania main event matches. After The American Nightmare dethroned the OTC at Mania 40, the two teamed up at the 2024 Bad Blood to defeat Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Since then, there has been distance between the two stars till this year’s Survivor Series.

During a promo segment ahead of the premium live event, The Tribal Chief insisted that the WarGames team was his team. Before ending the promo and leaving the arena, he looked at both Rhodes and Punk and said that the world title looked better on his shoulders.

Neither of the world champs could figure out who Reigns was addressing at the time. However, after their loss at the Survivor Series, the Head of the Table was angry with QB1. This was odd since it was Punk who took the pinfall. Thus, Reigns and Rhodes teased a potential third encounter for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Reportedly, the OTC is looking for a world title once again, owing to which Sami Zayn got his world title push canceled. It would be interesting to see if Cody Rhodes will be able to safeguard his kingdom against Roman Reigns.
