Ex-WWE writer Vince Russo believes that Triple H needs to leave in order for things to get better in the company. Not only him, but three other backstage legends also need to go, according to Russo.

On the latest episode of BroDown, host Mac Davis spoke to Vince Russo about the state of WWE. The former creative head from the Attitude Era didn't mince his words when he said that the longtime veterans backstage are the reason why WWE has remained creatively stagnant.

Vince Russo named Triple H, Paul Heyman, Michael P.S. Hayes, and Bruce Prichard as the four big figures that need to leave WWE in order for things to improve:

"You need to get rid of the entire level of the 'good old boys'. I don't give a s**t what you say. Hunter [Triple H] needs to go, [Paul] Heyman needs to go, [Michael] Hayes needs to go, [Bruce] Prichard needs to go, because as long as they're still there, you'll get your old school wrestling BS. They need an absolute new way of thinking, and those four guys - you're never going to move forward with those four guys. That is my opinion."

Vince Russo previously defended Triple H's key backstage figure.

Vince Russo was asked by Dr. Chris Featherstone about the issues with the WWE creative process, and Triple H's key executive figure, Bruce Prichard, was brought up. For context, Prichard was Vince McMahon's right-hand man for several years and remains an important backstage presence to this day.

On a previous episode of Writing with Russo, Vince Russo surprisingly defended Bruce Prichard by stating that he was honest about things being bad, even when it was his own creative work:

"I could tell you this about Bruce [Prichard] without a shadow of a doubt. Even when it was Bruce writing - Bruce and Vince [McMahon], Bruce and [Jim], Bruce and Pat [Patterson], I can't tell you how many times Bruce wrote the show, sat in gorilla [position], and heard him say, 'That was the drizzling s**ts'. I've heard him say that a million times about the stuff his name was on. I never ever heard Bruce Prichard put something over that sucked. I'm being totally honest, even if it was his work. Bruce is not that guy."

Bruce Prichard has been subject to criticism due to his close association with Vince McMahon, and former WrestleMania headliner Ronda Rousey said that as long as Prichard is with WWE, he is McMahon's proxy voice.

There is nothing to substantiate this claim. However, there is no denying that he holds tremendous influence due to his multiple tenures with WWE.
