The WWE Universe has been introduced to TNA's X-Division Champion, Leon Slater, over the past year. Slater became the youngest champion in TNA history earlier this year, checking off an incredible accolade. There's another he's hoping to knock off the list: face AJ Styles.

The Youngest In Charge has stolen the show anytime he's shown up on NXT or various WWE PLEs, including Deadline last weekend. It's clear that both promotions are incredibly high on Slater, as they should be. His teamwork with NXT's Young OG Je'Von Evans has been stellar, but TNA fans have had their jaws on the floor reacting ot Evans for a while now.

Slater's in-ring ability and infectious personality have clearly earned him some trust in the business, and hopefully, it'll end up giving him a match many TNA fans have dreamed of. Speaking to our own Kevin Kellam on Wrestle Binge, the idea of a one-on-one match between him and Mr. TNA, and becoming Mr. TNA, came up. And it was something he never thought possible.

John Cena's last match opening SNME - Check out Why!

"I can't lie, I thought it was impossible. And then the match for Saturday got announced. So I feel like we're in a point in wrestling now heading into 2026 that really, truly anything is possible. So, I think, if AJ..no. I know if AJ ever does cross the line again, I'll be waiting on the other side, waiting to welcome him back." [12:06-12:31]

It's not a solo contest, but Leon Slater will share the ring with AJ Styles on Saturday Night's Main Event, where Slater will team with Je'Von Evans to face Styles and Dragon Lee. That won't be their first meeting, though.

AJ Styles and Leon Slater already shared the ring before WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

At Slammiversary back in July, Leon Slater defeated Moose to capture the X-Division Championship, securing himself in the record books as the youngest X-Division Champion and the youngest TNA Champion of all time.

"I think it's 100% possible. Whether it happens, that is for me to find out. I think, especially after the moment we had at Slammiversary, with AJ being away for over a decade, and kind of me being the person that ushers him back into TNA? And the fact that he gave his time to give me my flowers and sing my praises. That was huge; he put the spotlight on me, which is a moment I'll never forget." [11:30-12:04]
