WWE legend The Rock has finally sent a message to John Cena ahead of the latter's in-ring retirement. The 17-time World Champion will hang up his boots after one last outing at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13.

The Rock last appeared on WWE television at Elimination Chamber 2025, where he seemingly aligned with John Cena. Many expected the two to show up together on the Stamford-based promotion's weekly programming after the Chamber, but that did not happen, as Rocky never appeared in the TKO-led promotion.

Although The Brahma Bull has talked about Cena's retirement tour in interviews, he did not address it on his social media until today. The Chain Gang Soldier recently took to Instagram to dedicate a post to The Final Boss after he was nominated for the Golden Globes.

This post caught The Rock's attention, and he left a wholesome comment on it. The Great One wrote that he loved Cena and was grateful for everything the 17-time World Champion has done for the wrestling business.

Rocky also added that he believed The Chain Gang Soldier was the greatest of all time.

"Love ya, man, and as you know, always grateful for all you’ve done for the business we love. You are truly the GOAT. Bring your moonshine, I’ll bring the tequila 🥃 🤣🫱🏾‍🫲🏼," he commented.

The Rock could return to WWE for John Cena's final match

Since John Cena aligned with The Rock at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025, many people have been expecting a clash between the two legends before Cena's retirement. Although it looks like this dream match won't happen, as the GOAT only has one date left on his retirement tour, fans expect many legends, including The Final Boss, to show up at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Some rumors even suggest that The Brahma Bull could return to TV at SNME to confront Cena and set up a match for next year. It will be interesting to see if Rocky will make an appearance for John's final outing inside the WWE ring.
