A popular former WWE World Champion recently talked about possibly becoming one of the most hated stars in the company after Saturday Night's Main Event. The name in question is Gunther.
Gunther is one of the most popular names in World Wrestling Entertainment at the moment. It seems like the Triple H-led creative team has a lot of trust in The Ring General, as he has already become a 2-time World Heavyweight Champion and has retired a legendary name like Goldberg. He is now set to face John Cena in the latter's final match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13.
Ahead of this much-anticipated clash, Gunther gave an interview on The Rich Eisen Show on ESPN. During the conversation, one of the hosts asked The Ring General if he was ready to become the most hated man in sports entertainment if he pins John Cena at SNME.
Without any hesitation, the former Imperium leader said that he was absolutely ready for the abovementioned "most hated" title. He also noted that Cena had been pinned several times in his career, but he will make sure The GOAT submits to him this weekend.
John Cena's last match opening SNME - Check out Why!
"Yes. [Laughs] In fact, he's been pinned many times before... So that's normal, but he hasn't been submitted in a very, very long time... I'm looking for him to give up, to admit he can't go no more. That's what I'm going to go for. I think that's where the drama is as well in that match, going into it," he said.

WWE star Gunther reveals what makes John Cena match "interesting"
In the same interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Gunther was asked how many times he had met John Cena. The Ring General revealed that he had only shaken hands with Cena a few times backstage.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion highlighted that he usually knows his opponents personally, but he finds it "interesting" that he doesn't know much about the 17-time World Champion, which will make their SNME bout different.
"I can count on one hand. Like maybe I shook his hand three times, said hello. That's all the interaction I had with him so far... But I think that's interesting... Usually, I know all my opponents more or less; we all work in the same company. But it's not the case with him. So, I think that's interesting," he added.
It will be interesting to see who will come out on top between John Cena and Gunther at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
