Drew McIntyre has had a tumultuous run in WWE over the past few years. While he has been booked in numerous main-event level feuds, he hasn't had a run as a world champion with fans in attendance.

The Scottish Warrior recently joined former WWE Superstar Bishop Dyer (fka Baron Corbin) and Scott Stanford for an interview on Busted Open ahead of Survivor Series WarGames 2025. McIntyre was asked which rivalry in his WWE career had pushed him the hardest emotionally and physically, and he had an interesting response.

At Clash at the Castle 2022, McIntyre challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship, but lost after interference from a debuting Solo Sikoa. The Scottish Warrior revealed that it was actually the lowest point of his career:

"The Roman one, obviously the biggest loss of my career. It was the first stadium show in the UK for 30 years, it was set up perfect for me to get the big win in front of my people. That's when Roman was the 'bad guy' but everyone's cheering him every night and that night I was a bit excited to get 70-30, but everyone was on my side, it was all perfect. Tonight was going to be Drew McIntyre's night, and Solo debuted and scr*wed me... Roman's been my kryptonite, I've wrestled him a bunch of times over the years, never won, and then I ended the night singing with Tyson Fury which was the lowest point in my entire career by freaking miles and I wish I could take it back, but I can't."

Drew McIntyre is set to compete at WarGames this weekend

Drew McIntyre is set to compete in the men's WarGames this year. He will be teaming up with Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Brock Lesnar to take on The Usos, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes.

Paul Heyman surprisingly recruited the Scottish Warrior despite him being suspended by Nick Aldis, and he is now set to face all of his former rivals inside the cage in San Diego this weekend.

It remains to be seen how things turn out at the premium live event this weekend.
