WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has been very vocal about everything that's transpired in his wrestling journey, including his infamous walkout from the Stamford-based promotion. Recently, former United States Champion Mr. Kennedy recalled The Texas Rattlesnake's advice.
Mr. Kennedy became a household name, and some dubbed him the next 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' in the Stamford-based promotion. After a stellar run on WWE SmackDown, the star began to lose momentum on Monday Night RAW, which eventually led to his downfall as an established name.
Speaking on Mic Check with Mr Anderson, the 49-year-old veteran revealed that Stone Cold Steve Austin once gave sound advice to Kennedy and asked him to leave WWE due to Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena not liking him and his guts as a performer in the promotion. Austin suggested that Anderson make a name outside the company because he could always make a return.
"There was a moment where [Stone Cold Steve] Austin called me one day, and he was like, 'Kid, get the f**k out of there. Go to TNA.' He said, 'Triple H hates your guts. Shawn Michaels hates your guts. John Cena hates your guts. Go to TNA. Get yourself over. Go to Japan. Do something. You can always come back, but get out of there right now. It's not a good spot for you," Anderson said.
