So, there is little doubt that Cena knows a thing or two when it comes to picking the best to ever do it in the squared circle.

During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the former Intercontinental champion was asked to describe his rivals using a word or a phrase. While he limited most of the names to a few words, he had detailed praise for AJ Styles.

He put Styles over as the best wrestler, joking that Shawn Michaels won't be happy about it.

John Cena's last match opening SNME - Check out Why!

"(AJ Styles) Best to ever do it. Shawn’s gonna be p*ssed, and God did Shawn ever take care of me. There’s not a lot he [Styles] can’t do, and he makes difficult look easy. But that is not God-given talent. That is practice. When you see difficult become seamless, it’s because it’s been done 10,000 times, and the amount of sh*t he can do seamlessly. Man, he’s the best to ever do it," he said.

John Cena and AJ Styles competed against each other multiple times in WWE and put on memorable matches each time. Cena also had a critically acclaimed feud with Shawn Michaels, with the two headlining WrestleMania 23 for the WWE Championship.

Hence, The Champ picking The Phenomenal One as the best to ever do it shows how highly he regards the 48-year-old star.

Cena handed a note to ring announcer Alicia Taylor during Styles' introduction. The veteran was then introduced as the definition of Total Nonstop Action and the undisputed leader of the Bullet Club, referencing his tenure in TNA and NJPW.

Talking on INSIGHT, Cena revealed that he kept it a secret from WWE creative and admitted that he went into the business for himself with this special intro for his rival.
