Seth Rollins recently broke character to take a shot at the WWE Universe, though it was done during a lighthearted take. Rollins is currently recovering from a shoulder injury that could keep him out until April.
There's no denying that The Visionary is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of his generation. He has thrived as part of a group, a top babyface star, and a top heel. He has managed to reinvent himself when needed and has been successful at every reiteration of his character.
In an appearance on Julian Edelman's Games With Names podcast, Seth Rollins gave his take on how it is easier to be a heel in 2025 than a babyface. Rollins explained that it has to do with WWE fans and people in general being more hateful, especially online.
"Now, I will say this. It's much easier in 2025 to be a bad guy than it is to be a good guy because everybody wants to hate everything. That's what they all want to do. No one wants to get online and talk about how much they love something because no one cares. They just want to get online and sh*t about anything they can find. They want to complain about anything. So, it's so easy to troll people, to mess with people. It's so easy to just get people to hate you. It's like there's no wrong. You can do no wrong as a bad guy. You can scr*w up left and right. You can mess up your promos. You can screw up in the ring. Doesn't matter. They'll boo you for it, and then you're gold, you know? So, I think it's just a different place," Rollins said.

Some of the biggest heels in WWE today are Dominik Mysterio, Gunther, Drew McIntyre, and Bron Breakker. Babyfaces like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Jey Uso arguably have some of the worst trolls on social media. It will be interesting to see if Seth Rollins returns as a babyface once he's cleared from his injury.
Seth Rollins calls himself the perfect wrestler
In the same interview with Julian Edelman, Seth Rollins described himself as the perfect pro wrestler. Rollins explained that it's because he can wrestle any style and can wrestle anyone.
"I can do it all. I have no style. I can do everything you need. In my opinion, I'm the perfect wrestler. Because I'm not too big. I'm not too small. I can fly around, but I can brawl. I can be technical. I can do any kind of match that you want me to do with no limitations," Rollins said. [H/T: Sports Illustrated]
The Visionary added that he's hoping to slow down after suffering a shoulder injury in October. He doesn't want to undergo another procedure and go through a rigorous rehab.
