Lana has shared the first reaction of Rusev to an eight-time WWE Champion's comment about her being flexible. The Bulgarian Brute is her real-life husband.
On the January 25, 2016, episode of RAW in Miami, Florida, The Rock returned to WWE television. He had backstage segments with The Miz, Big Show, Lana, and Rusev. The dialogue between Rocky and Lana could be considered non-PG because of the nature of what The Great One was saying about The Ravishing Russian. The segment ended with The Rock telling Rusev that Lana was flexible.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on the latest episode of Insight, Lana revealed that The Bulgarian Brute was trying to make her and The Rock laugh the entire time because he was standing outside of the shot and had a hilarious look when he was shown on TV.
The former United States Champion also thought of using the eight-time WWE Champion's comments about Lana during their time together in AEW.

"The funniest thing about all that is both me and The Rock had to try so hard not to laugh when Rusev came into the shot. He just plays that character so well and he kind of pops me. So me and Dwayne were like trying not to crack when he's like standing there. It's cool because him saying I was flexible is what led to Miro coming up with the hot and flexible wife and he's like, 'If people are going to say that about you, we're going to freaking own it,'" Lana said. The "Hot & Flexible Wife" became Lana's gimmick when she debuted in AEW in September 2023.
Rusev talks about not wrestling a lot in AEW
After being released by WWE in April 2020, Rusev signed with AEW five months later. He became Miro and even won the AEW TNT Championship once. However, his time in AEW wasn't the best since he was mostly absent from television and barely wrestled in his nearly five-year tenure there.
Speaking to Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports last month, The Bulgarian Brute discussed his feelings about not wrestling as much under the Tony Khan-led promotion's banner.
"The dead time sticks out the most. We only have this body and age for so long. We can't do this job forever, so we must take advantage of it while we're young. I sat on the sidelines for so long, unable to do what I love, which is performing for people in professional wrestling," Miro said.
The 39-year-old star took the time to heal his body and spend time with his wife and his family in Bulgaria.
