Rey Mysterio makes a special appearance to promote non-WWE event; plays peacemaker

WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio made a special appearance outside WWE. The 50-year-old was invited to promote an event which will be held next month. However, aside from the promotion, the Hall of Famer also found himself breaking up a fight and trying to establish peace towards the end of the November 28, 2025, episode of AAA from Puebla.

Rey Mysterio did an outdoor segment where he promoted the upcoming Gurra de Titanes event of AAA. The pay-per-view will take place on December 20, 2025, and will also feature Dominik Mysterio, who will team up with El Grande Americano to fight the The Lucha Brothers in tag team action.

Interestingly, the former three-time WWE world champion had shown up for the segment while wearing a T-shirt that had an image of him with Eddie Guerrero printed on it.

Not long after Mysterio did this segment, he also made an appearance inside the arena. However, instead of speaking to the fans, he was forced to settle a brawl between El Hijo del Vikingo and Dragon Lee.

Rey Mysterio failed to stop a fistfight

The main event of AAA from Puebla saw El Hijo del Vikingo take on El Grande Americano. The grueling match saw EGA pull off a win after a lot of back and forth with some last-second help from Bravo and Rayo. Following this, Dragon Lee attacked Vikingo.

Notably, Lee had teamed up with Vikingo to fight Dominik Mysterio and EGA last week. However, Vikingo abandoned Lee, who got thrashed and defeated by Dirty Dom and Americano. Thus, the World Tag Team Champion attacked Vikingo to get some payback.

Rey Mysterio entered the arena when the security was trying to separate the two wrestlers. Playing peacemaker, the Hall of Famer tried to reason with both of them and even set them up for a singles match at Guerra de Titanes.

However, before walking out, Vikingo landed a cheap shot on Dragon Lee and exited the ring. Feeling that he could score some more blows, he re-entered the ring, but Lee took him down and stood over him to end the show. Thus, despite the intervention of Mysterio, things only ended when one of the wrestlers went down.
