John Cena tapping out to Gunther’s Sleeper Hold was a big shock to the entire WWE Universe. The cameras caught the faces of the fans in the stands as their hero failed to uphold his motto of ‘Never Give Up’ in his final match. Surprisingly, Xavier Woods is now saying that watching Cena submit was satisfying.

As expected, this didn’t sit well with the fans, who started to throw flak at Xavier Woods for mocking the WWE Grand Slam Champion. While The New Day member’s comments may come off as infuriating, it should be noted that Woods is a heel in WWE, and heels often make social media posts to generate heat.

Xavier Woods accused of forcing his character to diss John Cena

While several fans jumped at the chance to unleash their rage on Woods, one fan commented that the wrestler they could see through was his ragebait. The fan noted that they had seen the former World Tag Team Champion cry when John Cena submitted to Gunther.

Stating this, the fan asked Xavier Woods not to try to force a storyline with his comments when his real emotions have already been exposed. So far, the New Day member hasn’t responded to any comments.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have been touting themselves as the greatest tag team in WWE and are angry that their World Tag Team Championship belts are with AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.

Interestingly, WWE made a ‘Thank You Cena’ video ahead of his SNME clash with Gunther, where all members of the roster paid tribute to the Never Seen 17. Drew McIntyre wasn’t joining in and was asking the cameraman to go away, before finally doing the ‘You Can’t See Me’ gesture. Thus, Cena’s departure saw even the most headstrong heels thank him on his way out.
