John Cena finally hung up his boots after an incredible 23-year long journey as a professional wrestler. Saturday Night's Main Event marked the final match in the first ballot Hall of Fame worthy career of the Cenation leader. A lot of stars paid their tribute to Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect following his retirement. Among these names is the Real-life Bloodline member Solo Sikoa.
Cena made his iconic WWE return at the Money in the Bank 2021 PLE to kickstart his renewed rivalry with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline. After losing to Reigns at that year's SummerSlam, Cena got on the Bloodline's hitlist in 2023 again. He squared off against the group's Solo Sikoa at the Crown Jewel 2023 event where Solo brutally destroyed him.
Solo picked up arguably one of the biggest wins of his career by pinning the 17-time World Champion in the middle of the ring in Saudi Arabia. Following Cena's retirement, Solo took to his Instagram story to share an image from their match 2 years ago and thanked Cena.
"Thank you @johncena" he wrote.

John Cena lost to Gunther in his retirement match
After Gunther won the Last Time is Now Tournament by beating LA Knight in the finals, it was clear that he was going to face Cena in his retirement match. The Washington DC crowd was very hostile towards The Ring General throughout the match as they wanted Cena to win on his last night.
However, hearts across the world were broken when the guy who used to preach "Never Give Up" tapped out to Gunther's Sleeper Hold. After losing his last match, Cena's career was celebrated by the whole WWE roster and Cody and Punk put their World titles on his shoulder. Cena then left his shoes and armbands in the ring and left.
Fans are excited to see what role John Cena will play in the WWE now that he's retired from in-ring competition.
