A concerning update has emerged regarding Rob Van Dam and his wife, Katie Forbes. The couple got married in 2021 and are expecting twins to be born around Christmas. While their fans are eagerly awaiting the good news, RVD has shared that his wife isn't feeling well.
During an appearance on TMZ Sports, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that Katie is hospitalized as she is dealing with preeclampsia.
"My wife is in the hospital about to pop babies. The first date they gave us was February 6th, and they said twins come early, so don’t count on it…. I don’t really plan on that, but then she went in Sunday, but I guess it’s been a week now. She went to the hospital, not feeling well. They kept her. Said she’s got something called preeclampsia," he said.
RVD further revealed that she is being kept under observation until she gives birth. He said this condition is also unsafe for the babies, and hence she remains hospitalized for the time being.

"She can't come home. The preeclampsia gave her high blood pressure, and it became a considerably unsafe environment for the babies. So they got to stay there to keep that in control on the monitor. And I guess the preeclampsia doesn’t go away until you give birth," he added.
He also mentioned that the doctors are going to wait till the 34-week mark before inducing labor. This means if all goes well, the delivery will take place on Christmas Day.
RVD provides an update on in-ring return
During the conversation on TMZ Sports, RVD also shared an update on his in-ring return. He has been out of action since April, when he suffered a double heel fracture.
He said that he is feeling well after being in recovery for nearly six months. The former WWE Champion then revealed that he is scheduled for a match in February in Australia.
The Whole F'N Show said that it will be a real test to see how healthy he is, but for now he's doing much better.
