On November 13, 2005, the entire wrestling world received shocking news. Guerrero died in Minneapolis, Minnesota ahead of an episode of RAW. WWE held a special tribute show for the beloved superstar, with many talents pouring their hearts out in heartbreaking interviews and during matches.

At the 20th anniversary of his untimely death, his "son" Dominik Mysterio paid tribute with an emotional photo on Instagram. Mysterio shared an image of Eddie Guerrero wearing a WrestleMania XX shirt and holding the WWE Championship back in 2004.

Dominik Mysterio was only eight years old when Eddie Guerrero passed away. He didn't get to learn from Guerrero, but his impact on the current Mega AAA Champion is clear. Parts of his in-ring gear and look were inspired by Guerrero, with his finisher being the Frog Splash as well.

Dominik Mysterio fulfilled his promise to Eddie Guerrero

After winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41, Dominik Mysterio promised on the Intoxicados podcast in May that he'll bring the title to Eddie Guerrero.

"We have a show coming up in Phoenix and I plan on taking (the IC title) up there to see him. I'm going to try to make some time before Raw. I'm going to try to make the time to go see him. I'll probably go by myself this time. Who knows, take the IC Title to him. Let him know we did it," Dominik said. [H/T Cageside Seats]

Before the June 9 episode of WWE RAW, Dominik fulfilled his promise and visited Guerrero's grave in Phoenix. He brought the Intercontinental Championship with him and presented it to the Hall of Famer. He also took a picture of it and shared it on his X account.
