Speaking on ESPN's First Take, Paul Heyman noted that he expects John Cena to put forth his greatest Survivor Series performance this Saturday. He opined that the 48-year-old will go out on top as the hardest-working star on the roster, the same way he came in.

Paul Heyman shares his opinion on John Cena's heel turn

John Cena turned heel for the first time in two decades earlier this year at WWE Elimination Chamber. Unfortunately, his run as the bad guy received a lot of criticism from several fans.

During his appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show earlier this year, Paul Heyman noted that he did not think that the heel turn was a mistake. However, The Oracle acknowledged the fact that things did not go as expected. Heyman added that he was glad that Cena got the opportunity to work as a heel before hanging up his boots.

"No. [Did it go as you thought it would?] No. Neither. No. Because it opened my eyes to the fact that this is an audience that is here to see stars and performances. As much as they are rooted into the storylines, they are there to appreciate the twisted performance art known as professional wrestling in WWE. [...] I'm glad he got to do it too, because I hate what-ifs, as long as it's about the past," Paul Heyman said.

John Cena later turned babyface before dropping the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.
