WWE Superstar CM Punk recently opened up about his first world championship win in the Stamford-based promotion. The Second City Saint revealed that no one was prepared for his win.
2008 was one of the biggest years for CM Punk's wrestling career. He won the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 24 and successfully cashed it in on Edge to win his first World Heavyweight Championship. Since then, Punk has won multiple world titles in his career.
During his recent interview on WWE's YouTube, The Second City Saint reacted to his looks and big moments throughout his career in the Stamford-based promotion. Punk talked about his first world title win over Edge, revealing that he thought he would be the first person to have an unsuccessful cash-in, but he surprisingly won.
He added that no one was prepared for his win against The Rated-R Superstar, which is why WWE had to print out a paper nameplate for his gold.

"If you really look close at the nameplate, that is a paper nameplate. That's how planned out my life was at that time. I won the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania, and I really thought I was gonna be the first clown to cash in and be unsuccessful. So, I was as shocked as anybody that I cashed in successfully on Edge. And we weren't prepared at all. So they had to print out a paper nameplate," he said.

CM Punk discussed his WWE retirement plans
In the same interview uploaded on WWE's YouTube, CM Punk admitted that he didn't have a lot of time left in his wrestling career and didn't know how long he could continue to wrestle.
The Best in the World added that he believed he had a great career, calling himself "one of one."
"I mean, it's humbling, sobering maybe, to look back, you know, because I'm not done, but I definitely think the road to the end is a lot shorter than the road from here to when I started is, you know. I don't know how long I've got left, but looking back, I can definitely say like I had a good career, you know, I'm one of one," he said.
It remains to be seen what CM Punk has planned for his future in the professional wrestling world.
