It has been an interesting week in WWE, following the backlash of Austin Theory being revealed as the masked man on RAW, the attention shifted over to NXT and the Women's NXT North American Championship. The past 24 hours have been filled with theories about the match and what was expected to happen, but the fact of the situation is that Thea Hail is the new champion, and she has taken to Instagram to share a message. Thea Hail took on Blake Monroe on NXT this past week, and what was supposed to be a straightforward title defence for the champion ended in major controversy when Hail was able to hook her leg for the three following a Springboard backdrop. It seemed as though the original end was for Monroe to roll Thea backwards into a pin after her Springboard from the ropes, but she was winded, and Hail needed to quickly react, expecting her to kick out. Monroe did manage to kick one of her legs out, but the referee was behind her shoulders and didn't see it. Thea Hail is now one of WWE's youngest-ever championsThea Hail has been climbing through the ranks in WWE for several years, but she has finally picked up a piece of gold at just 23 years old, making her one of WWE's youngest ever champions. While this may have been a mistake, it's clearly a Christmas gift that came early for the youngster who is now making the most of being able to hold a title. It's unclear how NXT will deal with the situation and if Monroe will be able to take her title back or if they will allow Hail to show that she deserves her own reign first.
