A new WWE champion was crowned during a show. She has now broken her silence.Last week on NXT, Blake Monroe issued an open challenge for the Women's North American Championship. She was immediately shocked to see several women come out to challenge her. However, Thea Hail attacked her and put her in the Kimura lock, forcing the champion to tap out. Therefore, Thea Hail was given a Women's North American Championship match tonight on WWE NXT.During the match tonight, Thea Hail hit a springboard senton on Blake and pinned her. This caused a lot of confusion as it looked like Blake was supposed to kick out. WWE even played Blake's music even though Thea had won. As Thea celebrated her win, the referee was speaking to Blake about what had happened. Moments after winning the match, Thea was interviewed backstage, where she expressed excitement over finally becoming a champion."Kelly, I've been crying for the past 25 minutes. I don't have any more tears to cry. I, me, Thea Hail your new Women's North American Champion. I've been here since I was 18. Can you believe it? I was in Chase U, I've had friends, I've not had friends, I've always wanted a championship and I've finally....I have done this today. Do you see? It says Blake Monroe. But, it's going to say Thea Hail pretty soon. Kelly, Kelly, do you believe this?"WWE star Blake Monroe wants a rematchBlake Monroe won the title at NXT Halloween Havoc 2025. She completed her first successful title defense at Gold Rush. However, her title reign ended tonight after just 53 days. However, the former AEW star isn't going to go away.During the same segment, Jordynne Grace congratulated Thea Hail on her win. They were soon interrupted by Blake Monroe, who blamed the referee for the botched finish. Jordynne Grace asked Blake Monroe to give Thea Hail some time since he just won the title. Blake then demanded a rematch.It will be interesting to see if the former AEW star will get her rematch.
