WWE is set to close the year with three premium live events, including the developmental brand, and a popular team recently won gold outside the Stamford-based promotion. The team in question is Hank and Tank.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger became a bona fide team in the tag team division under Shawn Michaels' creative leadership on the developmental brand. The two, similar to other NXT stars, made a trip to Japan and recently captured tag team gold in Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Today, Pro Wrestling NOAH hosted Noah Star Navigation, and Hank and Tank captured the GHC Tag Team Championship on the event's third day in Korakuen Hall. The duo defeated Team 2000X, Masa Kitamiya and Takashi Sugiura, and ended their reign, which started in August 2025.

The newly crowned champions addressed their win following the match and stated that they're ready for anything that comes their way as champions of Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Hank and Tank have won gold on WWE NXT

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger didn't make an impact on the developmental brand until they became a tag team. In 2023, the two officially became a team, but were often used in comedic segments on the brand under Shawn Michaels' creative leadership.

The duo gained momentum as a tag team when they captured the ROW Tag Team Championship in December 2024. In the coming months, Hank and Tank became a staple on WWE NXT and went on to capture the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship from Fraxiom at Stand & Deliver in Nevada.

Hank and Tank dominated the tag team division for a while on the developmental brand, but eventually succumbed to DarkState, as they were outnumbered by the villainous faction. In August 2025, the team lost their titles to Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin at NXT Heatwave.

The two were still a popular team on WWE NXT and spent a few months on the brand before heading to Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. It'll be interesting to see what's next for the newly crowned champions in the coming weeks.
