WWE is not exactly in the best situation at the moment, at least in the perception of their fans. Now, it seems it's not just the fanbase that's frustrated, as the Hardcore Legend Mick Foley revealed he is tapping out, and it's due to the relationship the company has with US President Donald Trump.

Yesterday, news broke of the tragic murders of legendary Hollywood film director Rob Reiner and his wife, and film producer, Michele Singer. As the world learned of the horrific fate of the couple and poured their hearts out for the grieving, President Trump took to Truth Social to cruelly lambast Reiner, claiming his fate came from his obsession with Trump and "Trump Derangement Syndrome." The comments were criticized by politicians, actors, and more on both sides of the political aisle.

Mick Foley took this controversial statement, which Trump doubled down on, as a sign to wrap up his time with World Wrestling Entertainment. Through Instagram and Facebook, Foley revealed that Trump's comments were the final straw, stating that the relationship between the president and the company he once called home concerned him. But now? As he put it, he couldn't "stands no more."

"PARTING WAYS WITH WWE. While I have been concerned about WWE‘s close relationship with Donald Trump for several months — especially in light of his administration’s ongoing cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and pretty much anyone who “looks like an immigrant”) — reading the President’s incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me. I no longer wish to represent a company that coddles a man so seemingly void of compassion as he marches our country towards autocracy. Last night, I informed WWE talent relations that I would not be making any appearances for the company as long as this man remains in office. Additionally, I will not be signing a new Legends deal when my current one expires in June. I love WWE, will always treasure my time with them, and I am deeply appreciative for all the opportunities they afforded me. But, in the words of Popeye the sailor, “I stands all I can stands, and I can’t stands no more.”

As Foley stated, his current deal will expire in June. But we don't expect to see the 3-time WWF Champion make another appearance for them before then.

Mick Foley weighed in on Donald Trump's comments before officially making his WWE announcement

The King of Hardcore has never been shy about his political leanings or personal feelings. A jovial man, it's almost impossible to get the guy genuinely upset, but Donald Trump has been a fighting point for Foley for quite some time.

Rockstar Jack White was quick to criticize Trump's statement, and Foley wasn't far behind, throwing his full support behind White.

"What @officialjackwhite said here is spot on. How any of my wwe colleagues can stand by, let alone stand next to this man is beyond me," said Foley.

It's tough to imagine Foley and WWE parting ways again, but he clearly feels it's time for him to make a stand.
