Michael Cole, the voice of WWE, made a hilarious botch in the main event of SmackDown as it finished and right before the show went off the air, using the wrong name of one of the victors. This week on SmackDown, the main event saw the Terror Twins, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, reunite after over a year to face the imposing duo of Aleister Black and Zelina Vega. Ever since Zelina Vega aligned with her real-life husband on television, she has been a big thorn in the side of the former World Heavyweight Champion, who just couldn't seem to get one over his rival. As a result, this rivalry has continued for a long time, and Rhea Ripley pitched the idea of teaming up once more after finishing Survivor Series: WarGames this year. After a successful effort, she reunited with Damian Priest to set up the main event for this week.Although one horrific botch nearly saw Zelina Vega get injured, the match finished smoothly. After the victory, Michael Cole hilariously exclaimed, "Damian and Zelina win" rather than "Damian and Rhea". This was right as the show was about to go off the air.The show would end with the Terror Twins standing tall. As for Michael Cole, this was simply one of those moments where he made a mistake. It goes to show that no matter how much experience you have, like 26 years in the case of Cole, mistakes can and will still be made. It should be noted that this was said in the heat of the moment, and Cole likely didn't even realize that he incorrectly named Zelina Vega as the winner despite her being the woman who Rhea Ripley pinned to pick up the victory. These things can happen to anybody at any time.
