Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about John Cena's match at Survivor Series. The star will defend the Intercontinental Championship at the PLE. Cena won the title on the November 10 episode of RAW in front of an emotionally charged home crowd in Boston. The 17-time World Champion got an impromptu match against "Dirty" Dom and beat him with a resounding Attitude Adjustment. This week on Jim Cornette's Drive Thru, the veteran manager noted that Cena would possibly retain the title against Mysterio. He felt WWE was priming Gunther to be the one to dethrone the Cenation Leader. Cornette said that it would be a great match and the fans would enjoy John Cena's second-to-last appearance. He also noted that Dominik would possibly come out with an excuse for the loss and it would not undermine his credibility."I think Cena is going to retain and I think, he's gonna drop it to Gunther on his last match in December. What is it, December 13? I believe that's what they will do to maximize what time they have left with John. This is going to be I would think an excellent match, given again Cena's age. He's not gonna f*ck himself before the last one this close. It's gonna be a great match that people are gonna go apes*it over. Cena will retain somehow. I think Dominik will come out with some kind of b*tch or some out so he can still be the whiny little heel that he is. This may be the highlight of the night."Dominik Mysterio mocked John CenaOn the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW, Dominik Mysterio orchestrated a segment to taunt the Intercontinental Champion. "Dirty" Dom invited a "Mini John Cena" to the ring and used the stand-in to insult the legendary star. However, the Mini Cena went off script and cut a promo on Dominik. This enraged the self-proclaimed King of Luchadors and he attacked the star, sending a message to Mr. Hustle Loyalty & Respect.
