Mark Henry shared that he lied to WWE back in the day to get a current AEW star hired by the company. Henry was inducted into the company's Hall of Fame in 2018.
The World's Strongest Man was recently a guest on The Undertaker's Six Feet Under podcast and shared how he lied to get Daniel Bryan, currently known as Bryan Danielson in AEW, hired by the company back in the day. Mark Henry noted that he saw Danielson's work on TV and lied to the promotion about his height and weight so that the company would give him a shot.
"I didn't train Bryan Danielson, I just saw Bryan on TV and said 'hey y'all need to get this dude', because I saw a match he had and I was like 'this dude is as good as people we've got in WWE.' And I lied, I told them he was like six feet tall because they wanted bigger guys, like 200 lbs, and Bryan's 5' 11" maybe. To have somebody that's a Hall of Fame caliber wrestler that you can hang your hat on is pretty damn cool," he said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

Mark Henry suggests an interesting WWE role for Chris Jericho
Mark Henry recently pitched the idea of Chris Jericho joining WWE's creative team if he were to return to the promotion.
There have been rumors that Jericho could return to the promotion soon, but nothing has been confirmed. Speaking on TMZ's Inside the Ring podcast, Mark Henry suggested that Jericho should be a part of the promotion's creative team and stated that his peers value his opinion.
"Chris Jericho should be a high up at WWE creative. He’s probably the most versatile and innovative guy that has wrestled in the last 20 years. He’s recreated himself so many times and made so much money that it’s ridiculous. People respect him and they value his opinion," he said.
Only time will tell if Bryan Danielson ever makes another appearance for the promotion down the line.
