This year's show was a successful one and involved some spectacular matches. Blake Monroe defeated Zaria to win the Women's North American Championship. In one of the most shocking moments on the show, Tatum Paxley defeated Jacy Jayne to become the new NXT Women's Champion. Although the show was successful, WWE received backlash for not using the traditional wheel that the company would use for this show to determine match stipulations. Fans loved the spontaneity that this brought and were upset to see it gone.Tonight on NXT, Tatum Paxley came out with The Culling. She informed fans that she wanted to be a fighting champion and defend the title as much as possible. Izzi Dame pleaded with her not to defend the title often, but Tatum refused to listen to her friend. She then acknowledged the fan backlash around Halloween Havoc and told them she was bringing back the wheel with a twist. She said she will spin the wheel, and whoever the wheel lands on, she will defend the title against them later in the night. Tatum spun the wheel, and it landed on Lola Vice.Sol Ruca relinquished her title tonight on WWE NXTOn the 17th October episode of SmackDown, Sol Ruca and Zaria challenged Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the Women's Tag Team Championship. During the match, Sol Ruca suffered an injury. Hence, she was unable to defend her title against Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc, and Zaria took her place in the bout.Tonight on WWE NXT, Sol Ruca met with Ava backstage. The NXT GM told her the doctor is unsure when the Speed Champion would be able to compete again, and asked her what she wanted to do with her title. Sol Ruca chose to relinquish her title.It will be interesting to see when Sol Ruca will return from her injury.
