Major star will pin CM Punk for the win at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames; analyst pitches possible WrestleMania 42 match

WWE Survivor Series 2025 will soon be in the books, and the event is supposed to be a preview for WrestleMania 42 in Nevada. Meanwhile, analyst Sam Roberts pitched the possibility of CM Punk taking the pinfall in San Diego to set up a WrestleMania match.

The Vision, alongside Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre, is locked in to face The Usos, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns inside the steel structure. However, The Original Tribal Chief doesn't trust his comrades, as he had heated feuds with Rhodes and Punk in the past.

Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts pitched the idea of The Second City Saint taking the pinfall in the gimmick match from Brock Lesnar due to his own teammates.

"You know, I might have Brock [Lesnar] get the victory over [CM] Punk and have Punk blame it on Cody [Rhodes] or Roman [Reigns], where there's plausible deniability, but clearly there was something there. Either they could've stopped it, or they put him in a bad position, or whatever it is. Punk takes the fall and blames it either on Cody or Roman," Roberts said.

After pitching possible tension among the three stars, Roberts stated that he would like to see Roman Reigns win the Royal Rumble match, and he can go for one of the world titles.

"I would love it if Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble this year... I think ultimately, that's the foundation that's being laid in this match for me. That's what I would like to see," Roberts said.
