Woods signed a new contract with the promotion earlier this year and has accomplished a lot during his time with the company. However, the veteran has never won a singles title in WWE, and Kingston believes that it's time for that to change.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Kofi Kingston stated that it was long overdue for Woods to win a singles title and praised him as a performer. The RAW star also noted that Woods has improved his physique.

"I think for Xavier [Woods] to have a singles title, I know that's important to him. And I know it's long overdue. You know what I'm saying? Talking about people who are like incredible on the mic, he's amazing on the mic, [and] he's amazing in the ring. His physique, I don't know if you've seen him, his body game up," said Kingston.
