Former WWE superstar Karrion Kross spent four years in the Stamford-based promotion across his two spells. He initially signed for the promotion back in 2020, where he appeared mainly on the NXT brand and even became a two-time NXT Champion. He was called up to the main roster but was released by the company after a brief stint.
He would eventually return in 2022 after Triple H took charge of WWE's creative process. However, in his three years on the main roster, he was never a mainstay in storylines and left the company earlier this year, following the expiry of his contract. Since leaving the promotion, he has only made a couple of appearances on the independent circuit and hasn't signed with any wrestling promotion.
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo was talking on the recent episode of Writing with Russo on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge. He explained that Kross is currently focusing on a career in Hollywood rather than his wrestling career, which could be the biggest reason why he hasn't signed with any promotion yet.
"I go as far as to say this. I've established somewhat of a relationship with him. I'm telling you, Chris, I'm telling you he's auditioning for movies. He's been reading for movies, I mean, I know he's up for at least one part now. I mean, that's what he's really concentrating on. He's really concentrating on a movie career and a career in Hollywood. I'm telling you," Russo said.
