John Cena is the most decorated star in WWE history with a record 17 world championship wins. However, The Cenation Leader recently referred to a current roster star as his mentor.
The aforementioned star is WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. The Master of the 619 is one of the only few names on the roster who have been wrestling since before the Never Seen 17. The masked luchador is still going strong despite several injuries throughout his career.
During his appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, John Cena was asked to describe some of his fellow WWE Superstars in just one word. When asked about Rey Mysterio, the 48-year-old referred to him as a mentor. Cena added that the veteran also allowed him to be a part of his family.
"A mentor, and someone who allowed me to be a part of their family when they didn’t need to," Cena said.

John Cena calls former WWE Champion "the best ever to do it"
During the same conversation, Chris Van Vliet asked John Cena to describe AJ Styles in one word. The Cenation Leader referred to The Phenomenal One as "the best ever to do it."
Cena praised his former rivals and stated that AJ Styles could do almost everything inside the squared circle, and he made it all look very easy. He added that Styles had worked very hard over the years to be able to perform his moves as seamlessly as he did.
"Best to ever do it… Shawn’s [Michaels] gonna be pi**ed, and God did Shawn ever take care of me. There’s not a lot he [AJ Styles] can’t do, and he can't make it look easy. He makes difficult look easy. We're getting way off of one word, but that is not God-given talent. That is practice. When you see difficult become seamless, it’s because it’s been done ten thousand times, and the amount of sh*t he can do seamlessly. Man, he’s the best to ever do it," Cena said.
While John Cena will wrestle his last match this weekend at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, AJ Styles has also announced that he will retire from professional wrestling next year. It will be intriguing to see what the future holds for two of the biggest stars in professional wrestling following their retirement.
