John Cena's father wanted WWE Hall of Famer as his son's last-ever opponent

John Cena's first-ever segment with Kurt Angle became an iconic moment in the promotion's history, and the two stars have mainly seen success as performers in the company. In 2019, the Olympic Gold Medalist wanted to retire at WrestleMania in a match against John Cena, but that didn't happen.

Since Angle's retirement, the WWE legend has not stepped into the ring, but John Cena Sr. would have liked to see him face his son. Speaking on the All Axxess podcast, the veteran stated he would've liked to see his son's career close at WrestleMania in a match against his first-ever opponent. Moreover, he agreed that Cena should've been Angle's last opponent instead of Baron Corbin.
