John Cena is one of the greatest WWE stars of all time. During his legendary career, he was known as the face of the company for several years. Therefore, fans were disappointed when Cena announced that he would be retiring by the end of this year after competing in his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, his final opponent is yet to be determined.

Cena did a interview with Tom Rinaldi which will be uploaded to WWE's YouTube channel the week of his final match. Tonight on NXT, a clip from that interview played where the Last Real Champion talked about the passage of time. He mentioned how there are moments when time stands still and there are moments when time flies away.

"There are moments where every second feels like a month and there are moments where 25 years feels like a second. My lens through what WWE is is like 220 dates a year, 5 dates a week, different town every night and like there are just gaps that I can't even...like I don't know what happened in 2006. But if I have some time and if I have a little bit of guidance, I'd like, 'Hey! In 2006, you had a match....oh, I remember that.' That's where like the decades feel like seconds."
